Metro Exodus, known in Russian as Metro: Исход, follows the same gritty storytelling that captivated fans of the earlier titles based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels. After nuclear war destroyed the world in 2013, over 20 years have passed, and now Artyom and his comrades face new challenges among the remnants of a lost civilization.
The story picks up after the “good” ending of Metro: Last Light, which has become canon in the series. As Artyom and the surviving rangers set out to find a safer home, players explore massive open-world locations, venturing both into Moscow’s haunting metro tunnels and the dangerous surface world.
New monsters and enemies await, alongside fresh weaponry unseen in earlier entries, and supplies are as scarce as ever. This third entry combines the intensity of the previous titles with the expansiveness of an open world. Dynamic weather, day and night cycles, and even changing seasons amplify the immersive experience to a whole new level.
